Interactive Walkabout Show With Soundtrack
Ernest Potts & Reginald Fowler - two incompetent, irreverent and yet excessively charming undertakers - are
en route to a funeral service. In accordance with the last wishes of the deceased, they transport their coffin via
some of the deceased's favourite haunts for one last visit. All is, however, not entirely as it seems…...
The duo have become hopelessly lost - not helped by their incorrect map, spinning compass and broken
sextant – and they have been separated from the rest of the mourners. Worse still, the coffin is starting
to emanate an ever-increasing cacophony that threatens to reveal
their secret skullduggery…

And so the pair find themselves cajoling passers-by into map reading and pall-bearing assistance.
They dismiss the muffled moans and knocking noises as “mere muscle spasms and post-life bodily functions”
to hide the murderous truth: the deceased’s body has been secretly swapped for that of
their chloroformed troublesome boss!
The weary gents take restorative picnic stops sat atop the coffin with cups of tea and slices of cake;
and in mischievous accordance with the wishes of the deceased (as read out from his will),
Mr. Potts, Mr. Fowler & enlistees dance a surreal merry jig in his honour to
his requested music – ‘Sentimental Journey’.
The Lost Funeral is a head-turning comedy walkabout show that puts the ‘fun’ back into ‘funeral’
and says “Boo!” to taboo.
"Thank you so much for bringing your wonderful surreal world to the South Bank - never before have I enjoyed seeing performers digging their own grave. Huge thanks!"

This is an improvisational & interactive walkabout / installation show that is suitable for both
town / city centres and park / festival sites.
For town centres a new map is created for each performance location, that is manipulated to seamlessly
swap and move street names, buildings and landmarks. The subtle way this is done is designed to disorientate
and stall the public whilst the duo entice them deeper into their spiralling world of uncertainty.
For park / festival sites a map of ancient burial plots is used, along with props of sextant, compass, 'deathoscope' and spade.
This show is fully mobile with a self-contained 12v PA system, and features authentic costumes and props. A high quality radio link is used to broadcast extremely realistic sound effects from the amplified coffin.
Running time for each show is 30 minutes for three shows per day, or 45 minutes for two shows per day.
